About Us

In the summer of 1992, the Calvert County Commission on Aging discussed the need for forming an organization to help support the needs of the rapidly growing senior population.  The focus would be to provide resources that would not otherwise be available.

The Friends of Calvert County Seniors (FCCS) is a 501 (c) (3) private, tax exempt, charitable organization that was founded in January 1993. Its purpose is to provide financial assistance to eligible Calvert County residents aged 60 plus. This assistance helps them to remain independent and self-supporting.
